With origins in Austria, the name of this grape translates to “Green Wine of Veltlin”. Grüner Veltliner offers fruit forward tart apple flavors that come naturally from the grape, followed by light hints of pepper, tarragon, ginger and honey. As tastebuds transition to Fall, this reminds us of a hard cider (no fizz) and is best served chilled.
Our Grüner Veltliner is fabulously food friendly and anywhere you find spice and heat, it provides the palate-cleansing needed to go back for seconds of Sichuan pork, kielbasa or chile verde.
