Bushy Run Winery is a small family-run boutique winery. Our wines are produced & bottled in Harrison City/Penn Township, Pennsylvania in Westmoreland County. We specialize in small-batch, premium wines and source our juices as much as possible from Pennsylvania vineyards and local farms.
Our winemaker is as equally passionate about history as he is in crafting delicious wines, and for that reason, many of our wines are classified as “donation bottles.”
Proceeds from the sale of these donation bottles go to the Bushy Run Historical Society for preservation and restoration of the Bushy Run Battlefield as a historical, educational and recreational resource for the community. The battlefield is located in our hometown of Harrison City, PA and is known for being the turning-point of the French and Indian War (aka Pontiac’s War).
We additionally have donation bottles for Historic Hanna’s Town and make donations to the Westmoreland County Historic Society to benefit Historic Hanna’s Town.
Over the years, we have donated in excess of $20,000 to both the Bushy Run Battlefield Historic Society, our philanthropy, and to the Historic Hanna’s Town.
Donation bottles include the following: Battlefield Blush, Blackwatch, Colonel Bouquet, General Braddock, Marquis Duquesne, Rebellion Red, Pontiac’s Revenge, Red Coat, Hanna’s Town Red and Hanna’s Town White.
A small assortment of these bottles can be found at the following local Giant Eagle Stores in Harrison City/Jeannette, Hempfield, Greensburg Eastgate Plaza, Irwin/North Huntingdon, Murrysville, Monroeville, Edgewood Towne Center, Brentwood Town Center, Century III Plaza, Waterworks and in Johnstown/Windber (Scalp Avenue Store).
